Method:

1. Count decimal places
2. Put digits over power of 10

• Simplify: ÷25 = 3/4

• 3 decimal places → 125/1000

Simplifying Fractions

Find the Greatest Common Factor (GCF):

• 18/24: GCF is 6 → 18÷6 / 24÷6 = 3/4
• 12/16: GCF is 4 → 12÷4 / 16÷4 = 3/4

Mixed Number: Whole number + fraction

• 2 3/4 to improper: (2 × 4 + 3)/4 = 11/4
• 11/4 to mixed: 11 ÷ 4 = 2 remainder 3 → 2 3/4
